On May 19th and 20th fashion
and cinema collide in the latest offering from the Victoria and Albert
Museum and Ciné Lumière: Chanel & Film. On Saturday 19 the V&A
is hosting a three-part seminar exploring the close relationship between
the work of fashion designer Coco Chanel and film, with fashion
journalist and author of Coco Chanel: The Legend and the Life and
Chanel: Her Life Justine Picardie, and Professor of film studies Ginette
Vincendeau. Ciné Lumière will host two screenings on the Sunday, one
entitled The Lovers/ Les Amants and the other Tonight or Never which
feature many of Coco Chanel’s creations.
